White turbans symbolize holiness, spirituality and purity. To others, the white color represents wisdom. It is for the latter reason that elderly people like to cover their heads using this color. The main reason behind the belief of holiness in these pieces of clothes come from the fact that Prophet Mohammad wore it. Given the expectations associated with these items, you will find out that important people use them in most cases.

The other color that most Muslims prefer is orange. You will not find this type in most areas, people in a given area like them than individuals from other religions. If you see many locals wearing orange wraps, you should understand that festivities are the order of the day. Orange is popular among artisans.

Colors such as red and pink are common during weddings and special occasions. These colors are usually bright and lively. They bring a happy feeling. Turbans that have dull colors are common during sad times such as funerals. These meaning have been around for a long time.
