By Linda Ruiz

Whenever people start an organization, it is always predictable that at one time or another, there will be a change on an organization. This is one of the strategies of ensuring that the organization is able to accomplish its full mission and purpose to the community. It is hence important to engage on the right means that would make the company work on the changes discussed. Therefore, many companies are coming with organizational change strategy, as a successive way of accomplishing the goals.

When the company is aimed at making the changes it means that, it is ready to adopt new ideas, practices and behaviors this will involve adding or removing the major or the whole corporate strategy. For any organization to prosper and survive on the right manner, there should be improvements done on the status quo of an organization. Changes in the organizations are also aimed at making the companies look more modern and hence able to adapt to the current technological culture.

All organizations are expected to expect resistance from the employees and other shareholders of a company. This should not be a worry you, it is normal, you can only minimize this by introduction of tactics that will solve the problems in the best manner. The top management should invest on ways that are simple and controllable in implementation of changes. You find that even after introduction of the alterations in some places, they are not effective, only after well utilization of the new changes will the organization see the fruits.

There is hence the need to therefore adopt specific tactics in ensuring two things take place with the right manner. Firstly, the process of transformation becomes successful, secondly, there is little or no resistance from the side of employees. There are a few approaches to effective transformation of a company.

The first thing is communicating the change, this is done through the board governors meetings, involving the shareholders and all the stake holders of an organizations. Each personnel needs to have good information on the changes and good education capacity to integrate the information. The people involved ought to have the right process that is used in making changes. Some people are quite fearful, they should be encouraged to hold on and see the firm move upwards as a result of new transformations.

The changes need to come from the top management and of course have to embrace them. This will be spread to the middle managers, lower managers and then to the employees. It will not be taken as the gossips of an organization. The information will also have some seriousness when it is passed from top-down. This is called support by the corporate culture of any organization.

Cooperation is another tactic that needs to be handled. As a manager you need to encourage the employees to take their roles and participate as well as take effect as fast as possible. When it comes to decision making every member of a company should not be left out. There is the need to have a platform where people are able to state the advantages and disadvantages of changes introduced, a place where employees can talk freely and the managers to take effect.

Making of concessions is another strategy that can be used. This involves negotiating with parties that are interested in a way that is formal. This is aimed at achieving cooperation. If everything else backfires, there is need to use coercion. This comes about when the management finds that a particular alteration is the best way to go, they can push it no matter what.
