The Life And Contributions That Viktor Schauberger Made To Science

By Tisha Greer

Since time immemorial, there have been several unsung heroes who set out to change peoples lives and life on earth. One of these heroes is Viktor Schauberger, a man with no formal education but nonetheless well read who spent most of his life observing and learning from nature. The beauty in the simplicity of his insights and applications and the way they are harmonious with nature makes his works and ideas deserve to be more recognized. In fact, the world is desperate for technology that is inventions-based to become the industrial norm, such as those of Viktor.

Born on 30th June 1885 in Austria, Viktor came from a family of foresters. All his forefathers, from his dad to his great-grandfather all worked as forest wardens. When he was a child, he showed great interest in all things concerned with nature. He learnt from his background that he should always trust his intuitive observations and awareness, just like the way his fathers before him did.

From his adult life researches, Viktor got the ability to explain the significance of the properties of water. In addition, he devised numerous methods for maintaining water at its optimum vitality and purity level. Viktor observed the underlining pattern in the universe originating from two polarities. He saw how water moved and swirled naturally in creeks and streams.

By observing how natural free-flowing water will always turn in a tightening or growing vortex-pattern, Viktor came up with a number of ideas. One of the ideas was that the polarities that can be observed in the natures spiral patterns are the life's necessities. Life occurs in an upward expanding spiral, then lessens while waning in the opposite receding spiral. He figured out that in nature, these two forces always work as a team in harmony so as to create life's foundation.

Later on, Viktor applied these observations to initiate designs aimed at generating motion that in turn generated power. Such designs worked in harmony with nature since they did not lead to the production of toxic emissions. He was of the idea that the foremost teacher was nature, thus any works related to technology should not aim at correcting nature but copying it.

Later in his career, Viktor studied how the declination of River Rhine occurred, concluding that it showed the effects of deforestation and convection water regulation. All the mistreated and degenerated rivers found today were initially mighty rivers that were so crystal clear that a depth of several meters could be observed on them.

The declination of river Rhine began when the Swiss Alps, which are the source of the river, underwent deforestation. This led to the disturbance of the ecological balance, leading to the silting up of the river. Meanders and bends were straightened to facilitate the increment of speed of water flow as well as to enable the river clear off its path.

Unfortunately, the brilliance and genius of Viktor Schauberger came to be perceived as a peril to the society powers and the corporate ideologies that dictated it, making him die a broken and despaired man. His patents and life works were signed over under threat and coercion to men who threw away what could be utilised foe good and exploited the remainder for greed and destruction.
