Dapo Daniel Oyebanjo (popularly known as Dbanj) is a Nigerian songwriter, singer and harmonica player. The extraordinary artist is widely known for his hit song Oliver Twist released in 2012. His work has been gaining global attention, and this has led him to work with famous international artists including American rapper Snoop Dogg. In 2011, GOOD Music label owned by rapper Kanye West, signed the artist.
He was born in June 1980 to a military officer father. Subsequently, he was expected to follow career line of his father. Young Daniel at age eleven joined Nigerian Military School, but later on quited the school after 3 years. He joined another military-owned school (the Nigerian Navy Secondary School) where he finished high school education successfully.
Daniel Oyebanjo, who also goes by the names Koko Master and Skibanj, began his professional music career in 2004. His works of art feature several genres including afro-beat, reggae fusion, rhythm and blues and hip hop. He strikes an impressive balance between good music, enthusiasm and positive vibration in the music industry. A true ambassador to Afro-beat genre, he brings it to life as evident in the hit single Oliver Twist.
His burning desire to succeed and sheer hard work have enabled Dbanj to record four successful albums. The debut album christened No Long Thing album was released into the market in 2005. It got relative success with tracks Socor, Tongolo and Mobolowowon becoming successful. The second album titled Rundown Funk U Up was also successful with tracks such as Move Your Body and Rundown. The third album dubbed The Entertainer was released in 2008. This was his breakthrough year with single called Fall In Love from that album becoming an instant hit. The last album

The fourth album has seen him work with international labels such as Mercury Records based in the U. K and GOOD Music in the U. S. A. Other record labels that he has been associated with include Sony Music Entertainment, RCA and ROCKSTAR400. On the global stage, he has performed with artists including Common, Kid Cudi, Raekwon, Pusha T, and 2 Chainz.
Since winning most promising male category in 2005 KORA awards, Koko Master has gone to win several other accolades. 2008 was a good year for him because he scooped three accolades in MTV Africa Awards. The awards he won were artist of the year, best male performer and Listeners choice categories. He has since then won the best African act in 2012 MOBO awards.
The artist also has invested part of this time to humanitarian activities. He is a member of youth and peace group called Koko Foundation (an organization he helped to find). He currently boasts of being the first Nigerian U. N youth ambassador for peace.
