Many people are fond of music. They are usually gathering in karaoke bars in celebrating special occasions with their friends or just merely having fun. Musical instruments are wanted to be played by some people. These instruments can be classified into three major groups. They could be string, percussion, or wind instruments. Some people would like to learn the proper way to hold a violin, a famous string instrument, for them to play their own favorite music through them. These steps should be followed when such will be done.

For beginners, it will be good if they can enroll in music classes that specialize in these string instruments. This way, the professionals can personally instruct them with the correct positions. These professionals can properly show them how they should carry these instruments and how to play them.

Most string instruments are played with the left hand. The fingers on the left hand will be the ones to strike the chords so that they can make melodies. The right hand will hold the bow so that music will come out of these instruments.

The left shoulder, specifically the collarbone, will support the violins. The persons will place their jaws on the chin rest, too. These instruments can be comfortably played by the individuals if correct positions will be practiced by them whenever they perform. The soreness and numbness on body parts such as the wrists and the backs can be minimized.

The person should be holding the neck of this item between his forefinger and his left thumb. There must be straight line from his left wrist to his forearm. He should not be twisting his wrist. This way, he could be comfortably transitioning from one position or chord to another while playing his musical piece.

If they want to, the individuals can utilize items that will assist them with this undertaking, such as wrist aids. These wrist aids will make sure that the persons who are wearing them will keep straight lines from their forearms to their left wrists. This will be a good way to practice the positions and help the muscles become familiar with the correct postures.

He could also be using a shoulder pad. A beginner in this venture is advised to be using a shoulder pad. This pad will be easing the force or tension that the violin is exerting on his shoulder. The user should be placing it on his left shoulder where he will also be putting the instrument.

If their pieces will be performed while they are standing, they need to ensure that their backs will be straightened. This way, back sprains will not be experienced that could lead to their pieces not being comfortably played. On another scenario, if their pieces will be performed in sitting positions, their backs should still be kept in straight positions.
