A confederation is a type of organization that has a large number of parties that chose to unite as an official league or alliance. This particular alliance consists of thirty six men who were able to attend the meetings held in Charlottetown and Quebec in the year eighteen sixty four. The purpose of this event was to discuss matters involving the Canadian Confederation, wherein they planned to unite all alliances to become an independent community.

As a result, it created a large difference especially in their home country, where it stirred up a national movement. Due to this, the politics and their current state of economy was further improved and many communities were able to benefit from this. Following this trail of thought, this article will be emphasizing some fascinating facts on the Fathers of Confederation.

Sir Adams Archibald is the person responsible for creating and founding the entire confederation. Because of this, he was appropriately given the title of the founding father of their alliance. Sir Archibald was also a politician and attorney, who eventually garnered the title of lieutenant governor in Manitoba.

Despite George Brown being born to Scottish parents, Brown was actually raised in this country. Although Brown was a reform politician, George was better known for being the person who created and founded the Toronto Globe. The Toronto Globe was a highly popular newspaper publication and was considered as highly influential, containing numerous articulate articles regarding everything that was going on at that time. This would further catapult the national unity movement in Canada.

Alexander Campbell is an upper statesman and achieved this through a career in politics. He slowly built his way up from his small community in Ontario before becoming part of this alliance. A little known fact is that he is not actually a born Canadian but was in fact, from Yorkshire. His father bought him to this country at 12 months and ended up pursuing an education in law helping him become a successful lawyer.

The premier and founder of Newfoundland Colony during eighteen sixty five to eighteen seventy was Sir Frederick Bowker Terrington Carter. He also had a background in law in the course of his career and was given the KCMG title. This translates to the most distinguished order, which means it was a highly prestigious title to be given. Furthermore, his family was also prominent around the same social circles and is heavily influenced by them.

Edward Chandler is a Brunswick native who gained popularity as an attorney and joined the United Empire Loyalist party. As a result, his voice was an influential one in society and his opinions were highly regarded. Without his work and prominence, the railway would not be developed properly.

James Cockburn is another politician who is known to be a Canadian conservative. Although James was born in Berwick, he along with his family moved to this country when he was only thirteen. They wanted to have a better life with more opportunities that was offered to them. James was officially in their office from eighteen seventy eight to eighteen eighty one.

Another politician is George Coles, who had a very little educational background. Instead of going to school, he was busy with pursuing numerous businesses such as farming and agriculture. Furthermore, he was eighteen years old when George became interested in brewing, which catapulted him into becoming a very successful and prominent merchant who specialized in breweries.
