By Angela Howard

Music is a very important part of our life but there are situations that may discourage us from getting the necessary skills. Individuals may make assumptions that playing a keyboard, for instance, is boring and a lengthy process. However, these are only mannerisms that are not necessarily true. It is all assumptions that hinder Learning to Play Piano and getting rid of them will hasten the process of learning.

Be well versed with the notes used in music as the beginning of this unique process. Technically, if you do not give them a try, you may have an assumption that they are difficult to learn, whereas that is not the case. If you successfully learned the English alphabet, then this will be far much easier. You only have an obligation of learning eight notes symbolized by the first eight letters of the English alphabet.

The next step is to become familiar with the piano keys and now what their purpose is. You will notice there are black and white keys. The black keys are shorter than the white longer keys. The black ones are used to play sharp and flat notes and are significantly seen to be in alternating groups of twos and threes.

The baby grand is manufactured and arranged in a specific way. It all begins in the middle. The central five black keys have a significant importance to the way the keyboard is arranged. On the duo group, the left white input represents C which is the sound Do in the sol-fa notation. All other keys with a similar location are denoted the same and between two subsequent similar letters are eight keys.

Once you are done with the identification, you are now headed to knowing how to play Do-Re-Mi since it will be a great way to experience music at its basic level. When you will be playing this, you will be in a better position to learn notes. Practice the sol-fa notation and identify where it starts and ends. The sound Do correspond to letter C.

Once you are done learning the sol-fa ladder, you need to go a notch higher. It is time to learn the simple songs that are easy to memorize. Such songs as Jingle Bells are easier to hit and can make the learning process more interesting. At this point, you need to learn the musical notes and their timing. You need to count each note on the music sheet.

Each note will show how long you will give it counts i. E. Press down the key while hitting the note. There are three basic notes that are used in music but there are more that are applicable to the study of music. You must learn how to identify the notes and the length that you can press them to give the desired note.

You will come to learn that every musical piece has distinguishable three E notes. Be keen on learning how they are played. They are uniquely in a specific set of three E notations that you can perfect in hitting. A learner who wants to perfect the skill will repeatedly perform to a level of becoming a professional pianist.
