This is a band that consists of four people. They are actually siblings. Three Brothers and a sister. They become prominent because of the many awards they receive for being the Southern Gospel Group. They were discovered in the year 1967 when they are hired to sing for a revival services at a small church.
Since then, they never stop but it could not be considered as their biggest break. But it motivates them to do better in music and to continue innovating and writing different songs that are related to the gospel. They are given the chance to sing in concerts and that was the birth their group called Hinsons the Lighthouse.
Several years later, the name has been changed to The Hinsons. All of them have the great singing voice and very talented individuals. One of them can write songs and started writing their own song. The purpose was to tell a story about them. And was recorded by The Goodmans and then they re recorded it again. The title of the song is The Lighthouse. One member of their group wrote that.

From being a recorded artists, they are given a chance to co host a television show called The Gospel Singing Jubilee. And their show became successful. One time, one member got sick. Their lead singer has a kidney cancer. So they were forced to stop. And let the one healed so they can continue the tour. He was 41 years old when he died. His disease lasted several months only. Because he died on the same year which is year 1995.
After that sad incident, they do not perform together anymore. But their one brother, continue writing songs related to the gospels. He become a renowned songwriter, producer and continues to perform on stage. The one who died was voted Artist of the Decade and recognized by Gospel Music Association in 2004.
